Advertisement of travels to the port and town Saint-Malo on the north of France, Brittany region.

La Cote d’Emeraude (fr. The Emerald Coast) is the artistic name coined by the French historian Eugène Herpin in 1894 for the coastline on either side of the Bay of Saint Malo, due to the emerald green color of the sea in that area.

The poster was commissioned by Chemin de Fer, the French state railway.
