Description
A large and vibrant caricature map depicting the diverse cultures of the regions of Spain through local costumes, flora and fauna. The map’s rich mosaic of vignettes creates an impression of a dynamic, bustling nation, overflowing with tourist attractions and points of national pride.
The national electricty grid, only recently established as the General Spanish Power Grid in 1951, is also shown on the map.
Francoist Spain’s coat of arms is included at bottom right, with the motto “Una Grande Libre” (One, Great and Free).
