Description

Shinobazu Pond is an artificial pond with an island in the middle that hosts Bentendo temple, located in Ueno Park in Tokyo. The whole area was destroyed during World War II but rebuilt and a popular modern park.

Author — Shiro Kasamatsu.

A Japanese engraver and print maker trained and excelling in the Shin-Hanga and Sōsaku-Hanga styles of woodblock printing.
